Description of task

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of Field Programme Support Officer or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UNV Information Management Officer (IMO) will stay up-to-date on UNRWA’s COVID-19 response and regular program responses in Jordan, and is responsible for analysing the responses and results to the senior management of UNRWA Jordan Field Office. Description of task

Under the direct supervision of PME Chief, the Information Management Officer will be responsible to provide support to the PM&E section in performing the below mentioned planning, monitoring, studies and evaluation tasks which are related to UNICEF Jordan’s COVID 19 response especially in the areas of Risk Communication and Community Engagement Efforts (RCCE).


1- Support the office-wide annual work planning, reporting, review and risk management activities;


Technically support the office-wide work planning and review activities for COVID-19 related activities especially in the areas of RCCE.

Support UNICEF Country Annual Reporting process by consolidating inputs and performing quality check;

Provide scheduling and logistical support for individual evaluations and evaluation field visits;

Support the application of quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis tools, techniques and approaches in the area of COVID-19;

Ensure that that evaluation findings and recommendations are followed- up;

Submit evaluation and study reports to the UNICEF database;

Assist in monitoring of evaluation management responses;

Participate in meetings, workshops and other fora to discuss the importance and usefulness of evaluation results;

Update IMEP and undertake knowledge management activities in support to the evaluation function.

3- SDG monitoring


Work with other UN agencies in supporting any SDG monitoring related tasks;

Assist the country in embedding evaluation evidence in Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs);

Provide support to the development of training materials for national counterparts and implementing partners.

Description of task

Under the direct supervision of Chief Technical Advisor of the project, the National UN Youth Volunteer will conduct either or both water accounting and water auditing tasks depending on their background.


Task Group 1: Water Accounting


Assist collection and pre-processing of climate, water resources, water uses, and agriculture data

Conduct hydrological and climatological analysis, water resources assessment, water use and demand (agricultural, municipal or from any other sectors) estimation, create maps using GIS and remote sensing etc.

Participate in field missions to collect information

FAO is conducting water accounting and water governance analysis training in Lebanon or Jordan. The UN Youth Volunteer will support further implementation of this training, identifying the gaps, and providing suggestions that would benefit future training.

Coordinate with other departments especially with programs team to ensure all potential data collection needs are addressed;

Determine the appropriate data collection tool based on the purpose, advantages and disadvantages of mobile data collection techniques;

Monitor the progress and performance of activities implemented by UNICEF partners;

Support COVID-19 related studies and evaluations conducted by staff members and consultants;

Support the application of quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis tools, techniques and approaches in the area of COVID-19;

Virtual data collection ex. Phone calls to beneficiaries;

Provide documentation and dissemination of key findings stemming from monitoring, assessment, and other learning activities;

Conduct trainings to enumerators on mobile data collection mechanism and software;

Support and design of specific data collection tools (such as surveys, questionnaires) through XLS, ARCgis and kobo;

Collect qualitative data from families and beneficiaries of UNICEF programs;

Visualize the data analyzed, present the research findings and include recommendations;
